Save a Pet is a website that aims to streamline the online pet adoption process. It allows adopters / fosters to search or browse for animals that are currently available for adoption. The site has a backend for shelters / rescue groups to upload new animals available or remove ones that have found homes. The website’s goal is to spread awareness to people about adopting pets in need.
The Asthma Monitoring and Management app or “AMMA” for short is a new wearable health tracking and monitoring device for asthma sufferers. Asthma affects over 25 million adults and children in the US alone and is responsible for 14.2 million physician visits each year as well as 1.8 million emergency care visits.

My name is Andrea Guillou, I am a UI/UX designer with a background in Graphic Design, based in the NY/NJ region. I love designing simple and elegant solutions to complex problems and making people’s lives easier. I believe that asking the right questions is the most important step before designing. I was strongly interested in the data-driven driven approach for any design aspect and decided to enroll in Designlab’s UX Academy’s 480h course, an intensive mentorship and project based learning program. I completed the course, while working full time, and I have gained a solid knowledge of the UX process.

I have always had a passion for learning about new technology, ever since I was little. Whenever a new gadget is announced I want to get my hands on it, I recently picked up the Nintendo Switch and I own a Samsung Gear VR. I have an interest in VR technology and it’s ability to deliver an immersive experience to users in entertainment, education, and science.
